Phlebotomist

Global Service Resources, Inc., a leading Healthcare staffing company has an opening for a Phlebotomist at Los Angeles General Medical Center located in Los Angeles, CA .

This is a full-time position. Must have at least 1+ year of experience as Phlebotomist in a hospital setting.

Schedule :

AM Shift - (4am-12 : 30pm) Must be available to work 40 hrs a week including every Fri, Sat, Sun

PM Shift - Mondays - Fridays (12 : 30pm - 9pm)

Payrate : $22-$35 / hr

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must have at least 1 year experience as a Phlebotomist in a hospital setting.
• Must have a valid Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT-1) coming from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID19 vaccine

JOB DUTIES :

• Collect blood samples from patients
• Practice proper patient identification, especially when working on hospital floors
• Label vials with patient names and dates
• Decipher the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient
• Transport all specimen samples to a nearby laboratory
• Centrifuge blood samples, depending on if this is allowed in the state you are working in expect to work with a large number of patients varying in age and health status
• Be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients
• Keep your phlebotomy cart or station well-organized at all times
• Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment
