INTERN - BUSINESS (Supply Chain)

Responsibilities Altec in Duluth, MN is looking to fill an internship position for a Buyer / Supply Chain Analyst for the Spring 2025 session. If you are currently a sophomore or upper classman looking for an internship in the Supply Chain or Buyer field, look no further! Assist with daily responsibilities of buyer including but not limited to : Authorize payment of invoices or return of merchandise. May compare transportation options. Examine, select, order, and purchase at the most favorable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors. Interview and work closely with vendors to obtain desired products. Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise. Use computers to organize and locate inventory and operate spreadsheet and word processing software. Expedite components for faster delivery dates to meet production requirements. Perform purchasing and other recordkeeping duties. Purchase all components and services related to the manufacture of finished product, maintenance repair, and operations. Basic Qualifications Students must : be able to provide documentation stating that they are enrolled full-time in a college or university and in good standing. be at least 18 years of age. have completed a minimum of 24 hours of coursework or have earned sophomore class standing. maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
