Occupational Therapist

Job Summary :

This position is for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in an outpatient setting. The therapist will provide occupational therapy services to pediatric patients, working with a variety of conditions and utilizing specialized skills and knowledge.

Location : Decatur, Illinois, United States

Responsibilities :

• Provide occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting.
• Perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions.
• Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound.
• Address orthopedic cases, including hip and knee replacements and injuries.
• Provide CVA rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, and treatment for lower and upper extremity conditions.
• Work with patients with progressive neurological disorders and spinal cord injuries.
• Educate patients and families on safety, injury prevention, and treatment plans.
• Document patient care, including assessments, evaluations, and progress notes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Perform lifting and transfers.
• Answer phone calls.
• Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
• Coordinate equipment / supply needs.
