Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, has as excellent opportunity for an outpatient neurologist with limited hospital coverage at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, located just one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. Join a growing employed practice that is long established in the community. We have dedicated neurohospitalist coverage with telestroke coverage outsourced during non-business hours, a strong IM hospitalist team and critical care group that serves as the primary care team for hospitalized patients. Our Neurology team at Norwalkis part of a comprehensive neurosciences program that spans our larger 7 hospital system andincludesNeurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, and rehabilitation.There is ample opportunity to participate in teaching, research, and clinical trials. Our ideal candidate will be a well-trained, board certified / eligible neurologist looking to join a highly capable team of established and respected neurologists. Subspecialty training is desired but not a prerequisite. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreational activities. There are highly rated public and private schools and universities in our area. New York City is easily accessible by car or train.
