Mechanic II- 2nd shift-Reynolds

Job Summary

Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.

Essential Job Functions

• Applies related knowledge to resolve basic operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical actions include testing and / or modifying operational machinery and control equipment; repairing various vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; and assembling and testing motor-control devices, sprockets, bearings, and vacuum pumps, and air valves.
• Repairs and preforms general mechanical work on multiple production systems in and around the facility.
• Applies related knowledge to test and / or modify operational machinery and control equipment.
• Accurately completes daily maintenance reports.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
• Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Maintenance : Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required.

Physical Demands

Maintenance : Medium - Very heavy, lifting up to 150 lbs.
