Job description

Quality Control Technician

Location: North Houston (77060 near Beltway/45) Length: 1-Year Contract | Potential to Go Permanent Pay Rate: $18$25 per hour (based on experience)

As a Quality Control Technician, you'll be the go-to person for ensuring materials and products meet company and industry standards. You'll play a vital part in keeping operations safe, reliable, and efficient while growing your skills in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do

  1. Inspect incoming materials and verify required documentation.
  2. Check and approve outgoing products before release.
  3. Keep inspection reports and quality records accurate and organized (digital + hard copy).
  4. Help track and follow up on corrective actions.
  5. Adjust priorities quickly to meet urgent needs.
  6. Support the Quality Manager with additional projects.

What We're Looking

  • Experience reading engineering drawings/specs.
  • Comfortable with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer tools.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to work independently when needed.

Must Have

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • NDT knowledge.
  • Familiarity with statistics, inspection tools, or industry quality standards.
  • Knowledge level of mechanical parts inspection/material quality records review.
  • Should be familiar with the QC process (especially incoming/outgoing QC), dimensional inspection, and weld inspection.

Physical/Work Requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods and walk across different surfaces.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. (one hand: 15 lbs., two hands: 50 lbs.).
  • Valid driver's license (occasional driving required).
  • Normal vision (including color perception and depth) and hearing range.
  • Willing to travel occasionally.
