Job Description : JOB SUMMARY

The co-op will be involved in design, development, testing and fabrication of silicon photonic integrated circuit (PIC) devices and / or systems. The student will be working with sophisticated state of the art design, fabrication, and testing equipment. The co-op will be responsible for various aspects of PIC development projects as assigned by members of the AIM Photonics engineering team which may include operating fabrication and / or testing equipment. The co-op shall perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. The co-op will be responsible for maintaining adequate project documentation and preparing necessary reports and materials as required for internal or external presentation.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Supporting AIM Photonics engineering and technical activities including numerical modeling of integrated photonic test structures.
• Measurement and testing of integrated photonic test structures
• Support and participation in design and fabrication activities related to integrated photonics
• Support of laboratory / fabrication / testing equipment and / or other activities relating to integrated photonics Research, education and workforce training.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
