Serving approximately 14,000 New Yorkers annually, we address barriers to educational achievement, economic security, and career stability through three key program areas. Primary Function Provide one‑on‑one support to the residents of Forest Hills who require guidance and support for matters related to housing, education, employment, benefits, financial, and connecting residents to community resources. Education and School‑Day Programs: offering pre‑kindergarten services, community schools, after‑school programs, and college access counseling. Sector‑Focused Training and Employment Placement Pathways: providing specialized training, employment placement pathways, summer youth employment, work‑learning‑grow initiatives, and aiding residents in accessing new employment opportunities. Community & Economic Empowerment Services: enabling community progress through community centers, resident services, food access, financial literacy programs, and support accessing benefits and wellness services. Salary Range $55,000 to $60,000 – salary is commensurate with education, training, experience, program size and location. Duties and Responsibilities Attend bi‑weekly case conference meetings with supervisor to review case files. Attend community resources division meetings, all staff meetings, and case management meetings. Complete universal intake and enter all existing and new clients into Salesforce database system. Facilitate workshops for residents on health & wellness, financial support, and mental health. Participate in the neighborhood advisory board or committee meetings, community board and local precinct meetings. Meet quarterly with property management to ensure both organizations are working as a team to resolve resident concerns. Share updates related to agency resource manual on a monthly basis. Conduct surveys of the needs of families. Organize activities and work directly with residents in group or individual settings. Recruit residents for programs; provide individual or group services to families. Provide leadership support for residents; guide participants in development, recreation, education, and other activities. Provide direct services to families through counseling and referrals, develop service plans, and complete case notes for all client interactions. Maintain liaison with cooperating local service providers, neighborhood schools, and other community‑based organizations. Perform other related tasks deemed necessary by agency. Qualifications Associate’s degree in human services, sociology, psychology, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience of 10+ years to satisfy education credits. One to two years or more experience with client engagement regarding case management, Salesforce data entry, intake, referrals, benefits, taxes, and providing support to clients to complete benefits re‑certifications and applications.
