Job description

Product Marketing Specialist

Help bring great products to market. We're looking for a Product Marketing Specialist who can turn strategy into compelling campaigns, customer insights into engaging product stories, and product messaging into meaningful customer experiences. At Ascendium Education Solutions (AES), you'll help execute go-to-market initiatives for our products, creating marketing content and campaigns that build awareness, strengthen customer engagement, and support product adoption.

Working closely with the Senior Marketing Strategist, Strategic Communications, Sales, and other cross-functional partners, you'll help bring campaigns to life, create customer-facing marketing materials, monitor campaign performance, and identify opportunities to strengthen marketing effectiveness. If you're passionate about product marketing, collaborative problem-solving, and creating marketing that helps innovative products reach the people they were built to serve, we'd love to hear from you.

This hybrid position is based at our headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. You'll generally work in the office three days each week and remotely two days each week.

Please include a cover letter with your application.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Strategist, Strategic Communications, Sales, and other stakeholders to plan and execute marketing campaigns, communications, and promotional initiatives supporting AES, Jurni, Attigo, and other assigned products and services.
  • Support the planning and execution of product launches, enhancements, and other go-to-market activities.
  • Contribute to marketing plans and audience engagement strategies that support business objectives and customer needs.
  • Write, edit, and maintain product marketing content and materials, including presentations, fact sheets, web content, email communications, sales enablement materials, customer-facing resources, and other marketing communications.
  • Assist in developing and implementing product positioning, messaging, and value propositions to ensure consistent communication across channels and audiences.
  • Gather and analyze customer, market, and competitor insights to identify trends, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, customer engagement, and other key metrics. Recommend opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Coordinate marketing projects across multiple teams to ensure alignment, timely execution, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Support communications related to product updates, launches, events, and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that enhance marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, product adoption, and business growth.
  • Stay informed about developments and emerging trends affecting AES products, customers, and markets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex products, services, and business concepts into audience-focused communications and marketing materials.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and apply customer, market, and performance data to identify opportunities and inform recommendations.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, campaign planning, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across teams and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and creativity, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with marketing, content management, analytics, CRM, or other business technology platforms.
  • Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, product marketing, sales enablement, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns, product launches, customer engagement initiatives, or other go-to-market activities.
  • Experience developing marketing content and communications for multiple channels and audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience analyzing marketing performance, customer feedback, market trends, or related data to inform recommendations and decision-making is preferred.

Other Information

  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Flexible, hybrid schedule.
  • Student loan repayment assistance and tuition reimbursement.
