Staff Psychiatrist - Inpatient

THE PRACTICE

Alameda Health System (AHS) – San Leandro, CA

Alameda Health System is a full-service county hospital and offers a complete array of patient-centered health care services delivered in a beautiful facility. Since 2007, we have partnered with AHS provided a full range of psychiatric services including; Inpatient, Consult Liaison, Psychiatric Emergency Services, and Outpatient Behavioral Health.

Inpatient Unit

• 8-hour shifts
• Shift times: 8 AM - 4 PM
• 69 bed hospital
• Physician covers an average of 12 beds per shift
• Support staff includes Social Workers, RNs, and Occupational Therapists.
• Adults only

Position Expectations

• Performs standard psychiatric exams and medication management
• Patients must be seen daily, and physician is to be onsite for the duration of their shift
• Physicians lead treatment teams and are responsible for making optimal therapeutic and disposition decisions for JGPH patients
• Physician will need to attend monthly (or as needed) departmental meetings
• Physician will need to follow all bylaws and regulations of Med Staff
• Completes documents such as admission notes and discharge summaries in a timely manner
• Must be board certified (board eligible for new graduates)
• Requires CA license and DEA

THE AREA

As such, there are many music venues in the area catering to all sounds, from major pop and arena shows at Oracle Arena and O.co Coliseum to more intimate venues like the Oakland Paramount Theater, the Fox Oakland Theatre and UC Berkeley’s Greek Theater.
