Job descriptionDaily supervision of service and maintenance technicians Schedule and assign work as required Check and review work in process and follow-up for completion as scheduled Inspect and, if necessary, road test vehicles upon completion of work Inform Service Manager of all customer complaints so they may be handled before the vehicle leaves the shop Assist in maintaining a clean shop and making sure that special tools and shop equipment are in proper operating condition Make customer estimates when necessary Assists Service Writer in opening and completing Work Orders Act as liaison between customer and technicians Backup Service Manager and Service Writer when needed Assist Warranty Administrator to ensure warranty claims are processed timely and correctly Pre-plan parts requirements for each job to make sure parts are available when needed by technicians Work with Service Manager and New and Used Truck Salespersons to ensure all sold trucks are prepared properly for the customer Perform other duties as required Should possess a high school diploma or equivalent A college degree or certificate / degree from a trade school is preferred, but not required Previous dealership experience is preferred Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check Please note this is a safety-sensitive position Should possess a high school diploma or equivalent A college degree or certificate / degree from a trade school is preferred, but not required Previous dealership experience is preferred Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Service Foreman to join our dynamic team. The Service Foreman will exercise direct supervision of mechanic personnel. They will assist when necessary in diagnosis of customer complaints and recommending needed repairs. This person will also assist the Service Writer in greeting customers, writing repair orders and estimating the costs of repairs within set guidelines.
