The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Graphic Design Intern in our Los Angeles office to join our Visual Communications team and provide graphic support for our regional offices. Arup's Americas region includes 17 offices and over 2,100 members, including offices in the United States, Canada, and Colombia.

As part of our in-house Marketing and Communications team, you will be working both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects in a fast-paced, creative, and fun environment. Arup's internship program offers learning sessions with leadership, site visits to local projects, and social events in the office and around the city.

Develop, design, and produce various graphic and promotional materials including infographics, presentations, brochures, reports, newsletters, interactive documents, event collateral, email and social media content, advertisements, and miscellaneous graphic deliverables.

Meet, engage, and collaborate with marketing, technical, and business development teams to create visuals that will require conceptual thinking, problem-solving, and storytelling skills.

Serve as an ambassador to our members on matters related to brand and creative, including providing brand reviews and sharing resources.

Assist with management and organization of image and graphic files.

Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design or related field.

Strong Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills

Experience with the following computer applications : Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Enthusiasmfor design, meticulous attention to detail, and willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong collaboration skills and a proactive attitude, with an ability to work within a team environment and with staff of different levels of experience???

Availability to work flexible hours when required???

Los Angeles Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles, CA is $21.50 to $32.50 per hour. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles, CA will differ.
