Clinical Onboarding Consultant
The Clinical Onboarding Coordinator plays a vital role in welcoming new employees to Regional One Health by guiding them through a seamless onboarding journey. With a strong clinical background and a deep understanding of organizational culture, this role ensures every new hire is medically cleared, culturally connected, and set up for long-term success. Acting as a key liaison between Occupational Health, Human Resources, and department leaders, the Coordinator enhances the new hire experience through high-touch engagement, personalized support, and clear communication. This position is ideal for an LPN or RN who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about making a lasting impact on employee retention and workplace culture.
What you will do
- Facilitates clinical onboarding for new hires, ensuring compliance with pre-employment medical clearance including immunizations, TB testing, drug screening, and any other clinical requirements.
- Coordinates closely with Occ Health clinicians / staff to verify and interpret clinical documentation, lab results, and medical history in compliance with Regional One Health policy and applicable guidelines.
- Develops and maintains an onboarding tracking dashboard to ensure visibility of outstanding medical or safety clearances for clinical and non-clinical new hires.
- Acts as a clinical liaison between Occ Health, Human Resources, and hiring departments to expedite clearance and reduce onboarding delays.
- Provides exceptional "high touch" customer service to new hires as well as incumbent employees.
- Timely follow-up with new hires, hiring manager and Talent Management on system or process related concerns / issues. Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provides coordination for employee to be successful in both new hire orientation and departmental orientation.
- Contacts new hire priors to their first day to assess readiness and address any barrier to success.
- Consult with new hires at key milestones to assess engagement compliance and cultural integration :
- New hire orientation
- Departmental orientation
- Socialization to new unit
- Meets with new hires during initial orientation and around 30 days and 90 days into their employment.
- Observes new hire in the work area to ensure cultural immersion to Regional One Health.
- Develops a new hire system to have a peer network within their work area.
- Provides on-boarding checklist which includes security / computer access request, training and tools necessary for success, on-boarding peer, phones, workspace, and tour of facilities.
- Reviews processes associated with onboarding and information collected; recommends changes for improvements and efficiencies; receives and responds to issues about the on-boarding and orientation process.
- Serves as a liaison between management and HR to ensure effective onboarding experience.
- Serve as backup for facilitating general orientation other HR support positions as necessary.
- Continuously seeks to improve quality of service delivery, taking into consideration supervisor coaching and customer feedback.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) .
