Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer

A company is looking for a Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of high-temperature airflow and thermal control products.

Key Responsibilities

Design and refine damper and expansion joint designs using CAD with a focus on high-temperature performance

Apply CFD and FEA modeling to predict thermal behavior and material fatigue under high heat loads

Oversee prototype builds and develop testing protocols to verify mechanical strength and thermal resistance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field

Proven experience or strong academic exposure in thermal analysis, heat transfer, and mechanical design

Proficiency with SolidWorks, ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar simulation / design tools

Understanding of creep, thermal expansion, and stress analysis in high-temperature applications

Experience with metal fabrication, refractory materials, or industrial HVAC / flow control systems preferred
