Job description

When you join the team as the Benefit Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients each day as they look to you as part of their dedicated support team for helping them navigate the tricky process to getting access to their complex medication. You'll compassionately deliver an exceptional experience always remembering that every prescription or document belongs to a real person who is looking for thorough and efficient management of their records. From navigating benefit investigations and prior authorizations, to providing resources for financial assistance, you'll handle each case with precision and empathy. Using our cutting-edge technology, PharmaCord Lynk, you'll tackle challenges head-on, showcasing your problem-solving skills and attention to detail.   • The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

Conducts ~50 outbound calls / day for missing / unclear benefit details

Performs full benefit investigations using script / call guide

Handles inbound patient calls for application status and missing information

Documents findings in Summary of Benefits for providers

Updates case notes thoroughly in Lynk system

  • Adaptability - Comfortable with change, while staying consistent
  • Patient-Centric Mindset - Professional, kind, and empathetic communication
  • Technical Proficiency - Microsoft Office required; Excel a plus
  • Thrives in Fast-Paced Environments - Handles pressure and multiple priorities
  • High-Volume Experience - Prior experience with heavy call loads or large-scale data
  • Must Have :
  • Medical terminology and basic understanding of insurance

    Call Center experience and strong Customer Service skills

  • Top candidates will have benefit verification experience for pharmaceuticals but not required
  • Experience Level
  • Intermediate Level

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 / hr.
