Pharmacy Technician – Contract to Hire Location : Cary, NC Pay Rate : $22.00 / hour Work Type : Onsite Schedule : Monday – Friday Shift : 10 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM or 11 : 00 AM – 8 : 00 PM EST (to be determined) Training Schedule : 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM for the first 4–6 weeks Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Support Specialist for an onsite contract-to-hire position in Cary, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with insurance processes, and the ability to provide excellent patient and provider support in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Identify and effectively communicate the various types of insurance and when each should be applied. Accurately document and enter all communication in the Biologics Management Information System (MIS). Assist with special projects, including annual reverification activities. Contact patients to obtain and verify insurance details. Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or HUB providers when Biologics cannot service the patient. Process pharmacy claims accurately within the Biologics MIS. Interpret and respond to pharmacy claim responses appropriately. Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, physicians, and payors regarding prescription updates and available services. Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to clinical staff. Respond to internal written communications, including chat and email requests, in a timely and professional manner. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred. Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or insurance environment preferred. Strong understanding of insurance verification and claim processing. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Proficient computer and data entry skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, team-oriented environment. Commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
