Job Title : Operating Room Nurse

Experience : Minimum 3 years of OR experience required

License : Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state required

Certifications : PALS, BLS, and ACLS required

Must-Have : BSN highly desired

Description :

The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and / or circulating duties for operative procedures.

This role involves department admissions to the operative suite.

Adherence to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques is essential.

Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans.

Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team.

Prepares the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure.

Assembles equipment and supplies, ensuring that equipment is functional and supplies / implants are available.

Participation in on-call rotation is expected, approximately one day per week and one weekend every five weeks.
