A. RETAIL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Stay informed with daily weekly and monthly sales and production reports and submit regularly for review.
2. Direct annual budgeting and planning processes for assigned departments.
3. Consistently research trends and sales to maximize Thrift Store profits.
4. Prepare projections on an annual basis of all building plans and retail improvements.
5. Responsible for all reporting accounting and resource tracking.
6. Maintain accurate inventory records.
7. Train perform and assure the proper handling of cash in accordance with financial policies.
B. RETAIL PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION
1. Set quality and uniform standards for display rotation and pricing of merchandise.
2. Support staff in the organization and flow of donated goods for maximum output.
3. Adequately manage inventory so as not to stockpile and ensure good stewardship practices.
4. Research recycling market on a periodic basis to ensure maximum profit.
5. Follow proven thrift store methods and trends in order to be the market leader.
6. Perform comparison shopping.
7. Ensure cleanliness security and safety of Thrift Store.
8. Oversee the daily operations of Thrift Store in collaboration with the associates.
9. Oversee pickup services and trailer drives.
C. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain and keep as top priority good relations with all Thrift Store donors and customers.
2. Ensure all donors and customers are treated with the utmost care and
gratitude ensuring high quality customer service.
3. Attend all Mission meetings and training sessions as required.
4. Solicit customer feedback to enhance customer service.
5. Perform related work and other duties when required and as assigned.
D. PHYSICAL FACTORS
1. Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.
2. Frequently standing reaching bending twisting and stooping.
3. Frequent moving and walking including climbing stairs.
4. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
E. SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
2. Provide spiritual encouragement to staff volunteers guests and residents.
3. Invest in the spiritual development of staff guests residents and donors.
4. Pray for and with staff volunteers guests residents and donors.
5. Ensure actions and policies reflect the Christian values and purpose of the Mission.
6. Handle relational conflicts according to the Staff Covenant of Romans 12 : 18 and Matthew 18 : 15-19
7. Memorize monthly Scripture Mission Statement and Mission Core
Values.
8. Participate in corporate prayer and Scripture reading staff chapel
services and all spiritual gatherings.
9. Support and attend annual mandatory Evangelism In Service training to
grow in knowledge of leading others to faith in Christ.
10. Participate in annual spiritual growth training through organizations
selected curriculum.
F. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Bachelors degree in related field or five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience required.
2. Previous experience in the non-profit / ministry sector desired.
3. Mature Christian committed to and passionate about sharing hope and help in Jesus name to move people from homelessness and despair toward personal and spiritual wholeness
4. Must be of exemplary character displaying respect accountability integrity and professionalism.
5. Servant leader who demonstrates faith humility and unity; able to provide biblical counsel and guidance to staff.
