Health & Safety Manager

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team to support large-scale construction projects. The ideal individual will have a proven track record of excellent project delivery. Responsibilities include :
- Providing support to internal teams and stakeholders, including oversight of the overall construction effort and progress reporting.
- Owning and managing contracts and budgets for direct contracts as assigned, ensuring alignment with cost budgets.
- Developing and coordinating detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensuring all projects adhere to health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
- Identifying and addressing quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
- Proactively managing risks related to construction project execution and HES, coordinating GC actions on risk as necessary.
- Supporting the design process by reviewing drawings against project requirements, assessing constructability, and providing construction input during early project phases.
- Creating and coordinating monthly, daily, and event reporting for the construction team, in collaboration with the Construction Field Representative.
- Issuing effective meeting minutes and other documentation for site progress meetings, Owner / Architect / Contractor meetings, and other required meetings.
- Coordinating and supporting the RFI and submittal process, working with the cost controller to ensure alignment with cost budgets.
- Assisting the client PM in coordinating the construction effort to support effective safety, QA / QC, and labor relations programs that meet IIF and OE objectives.
- Helping establish the success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical, and quality performance parameters, with a focus on tactical, technical, and process delivery.
- Supporting the development and execution of contractors and overall purchasing strategy in concert with the client.
- Acting as project schedule owner or supporting the project scheduler, maintaining the schedule to track critical actions and milestones.
- Conducting kick-off and regular meetings with key project stakeholders (architects, engineers, suppliers, contractors) to track and report on progress.
- Working with other project function teams to review as-built documents and other closeout items.
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, including subcontractors and vendors.
- Maintaining clear and consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, permits, and compliance records.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or field related to construction.Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience.CCM certification preferred.The following certifications are preferred : OSHA 30 certification; OSHA 500 / 510, BCSP Qualified Credentials (OHST, ASP, CSP, or CHST), and CPR.Proven experience in implementing and monitoring project HSE plans or contractor site safety plans.Excellent time management skills to ensure projects are managed to the right quality standards, completed efficiently, and on time.Strong ability to build and maintain working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.Ensure key information and data are effectively shared and appropriately retained.Excellent communication skills.Additional Information :
