Veterinarian

Sunshine Animal Hospital has a reputation for first-rate care for companion pets and most exotics. The hospital has been under new ownership for 3 years and was originally established in 1992. We offer surgery, ultrasound, digital radiographs, a complete Abaxis laboratory, and therapy laser. We use Covetrus Pulse cloud-based software and have tablets for use during appointments as well. The hospital is state licensed for wildlife rehabilitation of small mammals, reptiles, and marsupials. We currently have a full support staff to work with multiple veterinarians, yet we are missing some vets. Our owner loves to teach and works with the local CERT team to train the DART group (the animal care arm of CERT). She also loves to learn new things and appreciates others viewpoints on cases. Collaboration is a big part here. We offer a yearly base salary with a production-based bonus, Simple IRA, continuing education, paid time off, flex scheduling, and more. You have interest in specific benefits, let's talk. There are no overnight emergencies or an on-call system. A willingness to practice exotic medicine is not required; however, it is a plus. We are open Monday through Friday 8am-6pm and 8-12 on the first and third Saturdays. We are passionate about patient care and believe in having fun as well. We are a friendly group that likes to do things together frequently as there are a lot of things to do and places to see in our corner of the state. Some of the team building activites have been canoeing, movies, eating out together (taco Tuesdays, anyone?), Escape rooms, laser tag, and bowling.
