About the Position :

A well-established public health organization in southeastern Michigan is seeking a Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join its Behavioral Health Urgent Care team in a full-time, night shift role. This is a unique opportunity to work within a high-impact, community-based setting focused on providing crisis intervention, assessment, and medication management for individuals facing serious and persistent mental illness and developmental disabilities.

Note : This position is exclusively for Certified Physician Assistants . Nurse Practitioners are not being considered.

The successful candidate will begin with comprehensive daytime training during standard programming hours and will transition to the permanent three 12-hour night shift schedule once the facility moves to its 24 / 7 operational model . Despite the shift structure, full-time employees will receive compensation for 40 hours per week .

Requirements :

Certified Physician Assistant

Minimum 3 years of experience as a PA

At least 3 years of clinical experience working with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness and / or developmental disabilities

Proven experience in assessment, crisis management , and medication management in outpatient or inpatient behavioral health settings

Compensation & Benefits :

Salary range : $113,064 – $151,752 annually
