American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Redding, California.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring a CA RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the ICU department of a hospital setting
  • Night shifts from 18 : 00 to 06 : 30
  • Patient population includes critically ill adults requiring hemodynamic monitoring and complex care
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the ICU
  • Directs and guides patient / family education and activities of other nursing personnel
  • Expected to communicate any changes in patient condition to physicians
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
  • No difference in rate for local candidates

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Completion of a Workplace Violence Prevention course (DCI / BVP), available through Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or CDC
  • Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and responding to rapidly changing patient conditions
