Pay Rate : $40-$45 / hour

Are you an experienced payroll professional with a strong background in certified payroll processing? We’re looking for a Certified Payroll Specialist to join a construction-focused team in Santa Ana, CA . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is passionate about accuracy and compliance in payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Certified Payroll Reporting :

Prepare and review certified payroll reports using tools like Points North and LCP Tracker to ensure compliance and meet strict reporting deadlines.

Payroll Processing :

Handle weekly multi-state payroll processing. Ensure accuracy in employee timecards, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll items.

Employee & Manager Support :

Address payroll-related inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system with professionalism and timeliness.

Team Collaboration :

Work closely with payroll and HR teams to support accurate payroll operations and compliance with federal and state laws.

Process Improvement :

Maintain up-to-date SOPs and checklists. Propose and implement improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications :

Proven experience in multi-state and certified payroll processing

Familiarity with Points North , LCP Tracker , or similar systems

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications :

Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus

Experience in documenting payroll processes and contributing to continuous improvement

Location : Santa Ana, CA (onsite role)

Work Environment : Construction industry

Compensation : $40 / hr. - $45 / hr.
