Job Title : Shop Foreman
Essential Duties :
Assists technicians in developing their skillsProvides technical support for technicians when necessaryEnsures repairs are charged out correctlyChecks progress of each repair order throughout the dayMaintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacksConducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and qualityRoad tests vehicles to quality-check work performedMonitors technicians’ daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll recordsMonitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety, and the condition of shop equipmentEnsures the proper care, storage, and inventory of special toolsKeeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchasesFills in for service advisor when necessaryStrives for harmony and teamwork within the shopMaintains a safe work environmentMaintains a professional appearanceQualifications :

Education and Experience :
Two to four years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of modern methods of maintaining and repairing automotive, medium / heavy duty trucks and equipmentKnowledge of operating principles and maintenance of gasoline and diesel-powered enginesLanguage Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customersReasoning Skills :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesAbility to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processPhysical Demands :
