Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant to join our team in Elmhurst, Illinois. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and a strong background in corporate accounting practices.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
• Manage sales tax filings and resolve related issues in a timely manner.
• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial data.
• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and balanced.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Provide guidance and support during financial audits and reviews.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
