We're seeking a high-performing Sales Engineer to lead sales efforts for our Stylus Optical Metrology, Tribology, and FilmTek product lines across the US Midwest territory . This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team, represent world-class instrumentation, and make a direct impact on scientific and industrial innovation.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Work with Engineers and Scientists : Provide Bruker Solutions to complex industry / research problems.

  • Build Relationships : Cultivate strong connections with scientists, engineers, and decision-makers in key sectors like semiconductors, microelectronics, and biotech.
  • Strategize & Execute : Develop and implement tactical sales plans to meet and exceed quarterly targets.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Partner with internal teams (Applications, Marketing, Customer Service, Manufacturing) to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Stay Ahead : Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Represent Bruker : Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer events to showcase our technology and expand your network.
  • Own the Territory : Drive sales growth by managing the full sales cycle-from prospecting to closing-in academic, industrial, and government research environments.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience selling into academic, industrial, and semiconductor markets is a plus.
  • Familiarity with multi-level sales channels and strategic selling methodologies (Miller-Heiman preferred).
  • Success in capital equipment sales , ideally within scientific or technical markets is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of optical microscopy, tribology , or related technologies highly desired.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with 2 years sales / applications experience or advanced degree in the same fields with no experience.

  • Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits : At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $75,000 and $134,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
