Schylling is an award-winning toy company that has been putting smiles on the faces of children and children-at-heart for over 40 years. Our warehouse operations are in Lakewood, WA, and we are currently looking for an experienced DC Manager to lead our team.
The most suitable individual will be able to complete the following :
- Provide leadership and oversight of receiving, storage, value-added services, picking, and shipping of the distribution center.
- Responsible for the overall safety and welfare of the DC facility and staff by addressing both physical safety issues and creating a culture of safety.
- Ensures that the operation complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Must have the ability to develop metrics, monitor KPIs, and put in place systems and processes to track real-time operational performance.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to warehouse associates at all levels, placing an emphasis on culture, talent evaluation, and leadership development.
- Responsible for managing and building continuous improvement relationships with internal / external stakeholders and vendors.
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders.
- Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations.
- Creates and provides a leadership style that ensures a positive, efficient, and safe work environment.
- Manages the site-level budget, ensuring financial metrics are achieved.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5-10 years as Warehouse / Distribution Center leader in retail distribution or ecommerce with progressive advancement in a DC environment.Ability to understand the financial management of the warehouse, including budget preparation and financial reporting.Demonstrated understanding of distribution, transportation, and inventory management principles and practices with a strong customer focus.Knowledge and understanding of supply chain systems (i.e., WMS, Inventory Planning, ERP, etc.).Experience working with remote headquarters and functional resources, ability to build effective relationships, solve problems, and get things done.Essential Competencies :

Offered base compensation within this range will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other factors relevant to the scope and responsibilities of this role.
