Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Travel Contract

Location : Bryan, TX (Must float to other campus as needed)

Facility : Hospital System with multiple campuses

Duration : 12 Weeks

Shift : 5x8's or 5x10's Days (Unit determines schedule to meet 40 guaranteed hours)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 per week

Start Date : ASAP

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 12-week travel contract. You will perform a full range of nuclear medicine procedures with a primary focus on cardiac studies. This role requires high flexibility, including floating between two campuses, taking call, and working weekends / holidays.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform all common nuclear medicine studies including : Cardiac (stress / rest), HIDA, Bone Scans, Gastric Emptying, GI Bleed, Lung, Brain Death, and DAT scans.
  • Operate and utilize Siemens Symbia T6 gamma camera(s).
  • Start IVs for radiopharmaceutical administration.
  • Ensure accurate patient imaging and dose management.
  • Float required
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with a 30-minute response time , including weekends (EOW) and holidays.

    • Required Certifications & Experience :

  • 2+ Years of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
  • Certifications :

    • BLS (AHA required)

  • ARRT(N) OR NMTCB(CNMT) (Primary license)
  • NMTCB-NCT (Nuclear Cardiology) - Verification Required
  • MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist - Texas state license)
  • Must have strong IV start skills.

    • Department & Equipment Details :

  • Charting System : MEDITECH
  • PACS : Fuji Synapse
  • NM Software : NMIS
  • Scanners : Currently 1 room (Siemens Symbia T6), with a 2nd scanner in process of being replaced. Will operate with 2 total scanners.

    • Schedule & Call Requirements :

  • Weekends : Yes, Every Other Weekend (EOW)
  • Holidays : Yes

    • On-Call : Required. 30-minute response time.
