Job Summary

The Delivery Technician will work in the warehouse fulfilling customer's orders, as well as making deliveries to customer's homes in an accurate and timely manner. Including delivery, must be able to set up equipment, adjust equipment to customer needs, instruct customer on the proper and safe use of the equipment and ensure paperwork is signed / filled out accurately. Strong customer service skills are essential, as well as communicating with diverse populations of customers. Also responsible for checking delivery vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order, as well as reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations and / or damages to the vehicles.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be 21 years of age to meet auto insurance requirements. Previous delivery experience or customer service experience preferred. Driver history must comply with Sanford Health's driver qualification standards for insurability. Must have an understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) driver compliance requirements and endorsements. Class A B or C Commercial Drivers License, and full compliance with DOT regulations required. Must have hazmat endorsement at the time of hire. Tanker endorsement at the time of hire is preferred but can be obtained within 6 months of hire. Must pass a Federal background check with Transportation Security Administration. Must maintain valid DOT medical certification card.
