We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent role with an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial growth and stability. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They will also perform internal audits, prepare financial reports, and ensure legal compliance on all financial functions.

Responsibilities :

1. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports / support as necessary.

2. Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.

3. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

4. Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.

5. Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that the company is in compliance with all laws and regulations.

6. Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses.

7. Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.

8. Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits.

9. Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned tasks within deadlines.

10. Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.

11. Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.

12. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.

13. Perform cost accounting tasks and implement cost accounting system.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.

3. Proficient in financial reporting, general ledger, financial accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial statements.

4. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

5. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.

6. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

7. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.

8. Experience with general ledger functions.

9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

10. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

11. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
