Qualifications Profile (Licensure)
This position requires a valid and active license issued by the Indiana Department of Education in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Education
Candidates must document successful attainment of degrees required for licensure in the state of Indiana, Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited Program required

JOB EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Position Purpose / Description
The Speech-Language Pathologist works within the district with students who qualify for speech language services. The SLP is responsible for screening, evaluating, treating students with qualifying diagnoses. The school-based speech-language pathologist provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication disorders. Speech language pathologists are responsible for coaching and consulting with teachers and other support personnel to increase academic success. The SLP works with the entire school staff to provide assistance in the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs. Working collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, the SLP supports students' access to curriculum and promotes their academic and social success.
