The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers : 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer.
Duties
The Computer Science Department GA will support the computer science program in the following ways :
- Assist with the technology setup and instructional needs for COMP-152, COMP-250 and other introductory courses.
- Investigate and support robots and other electronic equipment used by the department.
- Help with department computer lab maintenance.
- Help with software support.
- Create specialized application software for the computer science department needs.
- Assist the department with preparing hand-on labs.
- Investigate and demonstrate new technology for the department.
This position is essential for supporting the Computer Science department’s particular teaching needs. It also gives a GA valuable experience that they can use on their resume.
