Responsible for the strategic oversight, operational productivity, and financial performance of all donated goods retail operations.
Directs and integrates the full scope of donated goods activities and other support services necessary for efficient and mission-aligned operations.
Develop and execute strategies to increase retail sales growth, optimize the value of donated goods, and streamline operational processes.
Provide leadership to a team of directors and frontline managers across multiple locations, ensuring consistency in execution and accountability throughout the enterprise.
Responsible for annual budget planning and oversight to ensure operations stay within budget.
Set revenue and expense targets for retail operations aligned with organizational goals.
Train, develop, and coach leadership in collaboration with HR and Workforce Development.
Ensure safety initiatives align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Ensure all retail locations comply with OSHA regulations and federal, state, and local laws.
Maintain annual operating plan including implementation strategies and department objectives.
Establish and evaluate KPIs for retail operations including sales, productivity, labor efficiency, and donation values.
Use data-driven insights to make informed operational decisions and continuous improvement.
Review departmental purchase orders and expense reports for budget alignment.
Ensure statistical counts are completed and analyzed for trends and improvements.
Utilize technology to improve efficiency and customer / donor experience.
Collaborate closely with departments to optimize operations and support organizational goals.
Oversee compliance with legal and safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and maintain operational integrity.
Ensure timely reporting of accidents, incidents, and vehicle-related issues.
Participate in leadership meetings prioritizing safety.
Maintain CARF standards and other regulatory compliance.
Demonstrate professionalism and cooperative attitude.
Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and guiding principles.
Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, and work in a fast-paced team environment.
Maintain appropriate appearance and adhere to dress code.
Safely conduct work and report accidents / injuries immediately.
Effectively use Microsoft applications and other systems.
Understand and analyze financial statements and sales reports.
Be punctual with dependable attendance.
Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Hold a valid driver's license and liability insurance.
Qualifications :
Minimum 15 years retail sales management experience.
At least 7 years multi-unit management experience.
Background in retail or operations with profit and loss responsibility preferred.
Experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, or related fields preferred.
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related experience required.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate and interact well with diverse personality types.
Ability to analyze opportunities and problems, identify alternatives, and develop effective solutions.
Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate goals, objectives, and work plans.
