ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Albany, Georgia 31701

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Emergency Room (ER)

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : April 13, 2026

Contract Duration : 17 weeks

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Shift : 12-hour evenings (3 : 00 PM – 3 : 00 AM)

Weekend Requirement : Every 3rd or 4th weekend

Holiday Requirement : Every other holiday

Scrub Color : Caribbean Blue

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910

ER RN Qualifications & Requirements

Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience in an acute care hospital

Experience with Meditech 6.15 EMR required

Preferred : Previous travel nursing experience or 5+ years in a Level 1 Trauma Center

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS or ASLS, CPI

TNCC certification preferred

Must pass online Cardiac Rhythms test (minimum 80%) and ESI Triage Exam during orientation

COVID-19 vaccination not required; unvaccinated nurses must agree to weekly testing

Must meet 75-mile radius rule (address on driver’s license must be at least 75 miles from facility)

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a busy ER (approx. 140 visits / day)

Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for trauma, stroke, cardiac, orthopedic, and behavioral health emergencies

Document and chart patient care using Meditech 6.15 EMR

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurse aides, paramedics, and security staff

Participate in fast track and behavioral health areas as needed

Perform lab draws, IV starts, and assist with emergency procedures

Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols and best practices

Engage in ongoing education and complete required orientation and competency exams
