RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

Work on A3 West Med Surg telemetry unit with 38 beds

Day shift patient ratios : 6 : 1, night shift patient ratios : 7 : 1

Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 1 LPN, 3 PCTs, 1 unit secretary

Night shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 LPN, 2-3 PCTs, HUC for part of shift

Work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDS, prima-fits, primo-fits

EMR system : Cerner Powerchart

Perform peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and other standard medical surgical skills

Medical / surgical nursing experience and telemetry experience required

Charge nurse experience preferred

BLS certification required

Float to other medical surgical units and ED holding medical / surgical patients

Travelers float before permanent staff

Dress code : all navy, all white, or white top and navy pants with navy or white undershirts if needed

Must be a team player with positive attitude and willingness to help others without being asked
