Clean Room Manufacturing Technician
Location : Tempe, AZ Pay Rate : $21.50 / hour Shift : Compressed Shift 1A SundayTuesday and every other Wednesday, 5 : 45 AM6 : 00 PM
Position Overview :
The Exhaust Processor plays a key role in the production of high-precision intensifier tube components within a clean room environment. This position operates and monitors vacuum and electronic processing equipment, ensuring that all products meet strict quality and yield standards. The role involves hands-on work with fragile materials, preventative maintenance, data interpretation, and adherence to clean room and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and oversee tube process stations and associated vacuum / electronic equipment to manufacture image intensifier tube components.
- Safely unload and reload systems using hand tools to access and remove finished products without causing damage.
- Follow detailed work instructions and established procedures to meet production schedules and maintain quality targets.
- Monitor process parameters including vacuum levels, temperature, and torque readings, adjusting as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electronic issues.
- Record accurate production and quality data using the Quality Tracking System (QTS).
- Adhere to clean room standards and safety procedures involving mechanical, chemical, and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify and resolve process deviations or equipment issues.
- Maintain compliance with internal and external specifications and standards.
Qualifications : Required :
High school diploma or GED.U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Confidential Security Clearance (within 6 months of hire).Ability to wear clean room attire (hairnet, beard net, coveralls).13 years of related manufacturing experience preferred.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Demonstrated speed, accuracy, and attention to detail in task completion.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.Preferred :
Associate degree in a technical or related field.Experience with ultra-high vacuum technology and / or semiconductor processing (on-the-job training available).Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control), Six Sigma tools, 5S+1, and Lean methodologies.Soft Skills :

This position is performed in a clean room manufacturing environment requiring the use of hairnets, beard nets, and coveralls (no shoe coverings required). The atmosphere is professional yet collaborative, with a focus on precision, safety, and teamwork.
