Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Per Diem (Day & Night Shifts)
Location : Shasta Regional Medical Center - California
Position Summary :
Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join our Per Diem Imaging Pool for both day and night shifts . The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance in all procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to physician orders and safety standards.
- Operate gamma cameras and related imaging systems to capture diagnostic images.
- Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety during imaging.
- Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical use and exposure in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Perform quality control checks on imaging and radiation detection equipment.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Document and transmit imaging studies to the PACS system for physician review.
Qualifications (Legally Required in California) :
Valid California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (issued by CDPH-RHB ) - requiredBLS certification (AHA) - requiredCompletion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program - required for licensureShift Details :
