Job description2+ years of experience operating forklifts. Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to follow company protocols. Ability to read and interpret work orders, inventory lists, and shipping / receiving documents. Good communication skills to coordinate with production, warehouse, and quality teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when moving, labeling, and staging materials. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities. Dependability and strong work ethic arriving on time and ready for shifts. Basic math and computer / data entry skills for tracking inventory.
Forklift Operator
The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting production and warehouse operations by safely transporting finished goods, organizing storage areas, loading materials for shipment, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Job Responsibilities :
- Transports finished product to the warehouse, storing it in its designated warehouse space.
- Loads empty pallets and plastic storage flats / shells for the transport truck to return to the manufacturing location.
- Tags full good pallets accordingly.
- Communicates with the warehouse and production supervisors on a daily basis.
- Safely operates fork truck while being aware of surroundings. May have light housekeeping duties.
- Receives and stores incoming items according to established system.
- Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled. Maintain cleanliness in assigned area.
