Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting production and warehouse operations by safely transporting finished goods, organizing storage areas, loading materials for shipment, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Transports finished product to the warehouse, storing it in its designated warehouse space.
  • Loads empty pallets and plastic storage flats / shells for the transport truck to return to the manufacturing location.
  • Tags full good pallets accordingly.
  • Communicates with the warehouse and production supervisors on a daily basis.
  • Safely operates fork truck while being aware of surroundings. May have light housekeeping duties.
  • Receives and stores incoming items according to established system.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled. Maintain cleanliness in assigned area.

Job Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience operating forklifts.
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to follow company protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, inventory lists, and shipping / receiving documents.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with production, warehouse, and quality teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when moving, labeling, and staging materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Dependability and strong work ethic arriving on time and ready for shifts.
  • Basic math and computer / data entry skills for tracking inventory.
