The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of persons who die within New York City from criminal violence by accident by suicide suddenly when in apparent health when unattended by a physician in a correctional facility or in any suspicious or unusual manner or where an application is made pursuant to law for a permit to cremate a body of a person. The Manager of Recruitment & Labor Relations will support the agencys talent acquisition and labor relations functions. This role provides guidance on labor laws collective bargaining agreements recruitment strategies and disciplinary procedures. The manager will work closely with HR leadership hiring managers and unions to ensure consistency regarding policies and effective workforce management.

Qualifications :
degree from an accredited college in emergency management public health disaster management emergency preparedness / administration public administration or related field and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following area(s) : emergency preparedness planning / management emergency medical services fire or public safety law enforcement homeland security public health mental health environmental / occupational health and safety or a related specialized area; or
2.A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one of the areas described in 1 above; or
3.A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. However all candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one of the areas described in 1 above.
