Neuro Trauma ICU RN – Night Shift
Location : Springfield, OR

Shift : 3x12 Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Job Summary
The Neuro Trauma ICU RN provides expert, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role requires advanced clinical skills, trauma experience, and the ability to manage complex patient populations including neuro, cardiac, and multi-system trauma cases.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with conditions such as GI bleed, sepsis, ARDS, CHF, CKD, AKI, CVA, ICH, and post-cardiac arrest.Manage advanced procedures including chest tube insertion / removal, central line care, PICC line management, bedside tracheostomy, intubation, and massive transfusion protocols.Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and blood pressure abnormalities with vasoactive agents.Provide ventilator management, ABG interpretation, suctioning, and care for patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and continuous IV sedation.Administer emergency medications, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage hypothermia protocols (Arctic Sun).Float between CVICU, NTICU, Telemetry, Acute Care (neurology, surgical, ortho / med), ED boarding, and OHIV as needed.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of solid ICU experience (will consider 1 year if recently employed at a large facility).Recent Epic charting experience.Previous trauma experience required.Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must be current before start date).Additional preferred certifications : TNCC / TCAR, CCRN, CSC, SCRN, TCRN.Must have completed 2–3 prior travel assignments; first-time travelers not accepted.Ability to start IVs independently and manage advanced equipment including Pa Catheters, Impella devices, CRRT, IABP, Zoll cooling catheter, and Arctic Sun pads.Facility Information
