Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing production facility. This role plays a critical part in setting up new production lines, optimizing existing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and a passion for Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What your day-to-day will look like :

  • New Product Line Setup :

Lead the planning, design, and implementation of production lines for new products, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards.

  • Production Support :
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to the production team by troubleshooting equipment, addressing process issues, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Continuous Improvement :
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, process standardization, and cost savings using Lean Six Sigma tools and structured problem-solving methods.

  • Documentation & Standards :
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across all operations.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Operations to support new product introductions and improve existing workflows.

  • Training & Knowledge Transfer :
  • Provide training and mentorship to production personnel to enhance understanding of new processes and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Professional Development :
  • Participate in training and learning opportunities, including occasional travel to other locations for product or process training.

    To thrive in this role, you have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production flow.
  • Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • What will make you stand out :

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Hands-on experience with process layout design, PFMEA, and time studies.
  • CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Previous experience in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume production environment.
