Accounting Supervisor (AP / AR Focus)

Overview :

The Accounting Supervisor, reporting to the Accounting Manager, is responsible for overseeing the AP and AR functions, supporting the recording and review of financial transactions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role supervises a team of three and is ideal for someone highly technical who understands debits, credits, and complex accounting processes. Experience in a larger company or corporate environment is a plus.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Train and supervise AP / AR staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
• Review general ledger and balance sheet account schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports to identify trends, variances, and errors.
• Prepare journal entries for accruals, corrections, and month-end close.
• Manage invoice processing, vendor payments, customer billing, and cash application.
• Compile special reports for leadership, summarizing operational and financial data.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation for internal and external audits.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
