Operations Manager
Automated Logic is looking for an Operations Manager to join our growing team!
About This Role
The Operations Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end execution and financial performance of operations.
The Operations Manager oversees the entire process, from order entry and construction project management to installation and field labor management. A key part of the role is driving operational efficiencies, controlling project scope, and managing the schedule and costs to ensure financial goals are met, including expense management and tracking. Beyond internal control, the BAS Operations Manager is tasked with generating business advantage and growing profits by executing strategic account management and collaborating with Owners, General Contractors, Mechanical and Electrical contractors to enhance the reputation and visibility of ALC's controls products and service offerings, ultimately ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Performance
- Direct and lead day-to-day operational teams to meet and exceed planned deliverables while managing a high volume of concurrent tasks.
- Ensure operational excellence and achievement of the operations plan within the assigned geographic area.
- Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring the organization meets or exceeds customer and sales goal expectations.
- Manage resource allocation, reallocating personnel as needed to improve overall results and project delivery efficiency.
- Collaborate with national operations leaders and other internal areas to leverage best practices and align with company objectives.
- Administer, communicate, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Project Management & Revenue
Oversee and manage all aspects of project execution, adhering strictly to established project processes.Provide direction and mentorship to assisting Project Managers and ensuring successful project delivery.Direct revenue forecasting activities and establish performance standards that align with established business objectives.Support Project Managers in identifying, securing, and processing change orders for out-of-scope work.Assist the Sales team by reviewing contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy in bid estimations.Talent Management & Development
Lead all hiring responsibilities, recruiting and onboarding Project Managers, System Specialist Supervisors, System Specialists, and Associate Project Managers with the requisite skills and competencies.Develop and implement coaching and training programs for the operations team on advanced project management techniques to ensure they achieve targets.Conduct regular coaching sessions (e.g., "ride-alongs") with employees and meet with key clients to build and strengthen relationships.Strategic & Customer Engagement
Partner with the Sales Manager to develop strategic business plans for both securing new business and maintaining the existing customer base.Ensure the establishment and development of professional, strategic relationships with key prospects to better understand and meet customer needs within the contracted scope.Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED5+ Years of Project Management or Field Operations ExperienceValid Driver's LicensePreferred Qualifications
