Manufacturing Plant Manager
If you have experience in managing overall production, maintenance, quality, and business-related activities, consider becoming our newest Manufacturing Plant Manager. In this position, you will direct the efficient management of the fabrication and welding operations of a multiple shift facility building truck, trailer, and rental support items for U-Haul, the largest do it yourself moving company in the world.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance to meet production goals.
- Foster a team mentality between departments.
- Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance.
- Provide training and educational materials to staff, as necessary.
- Develop capital equipment justification for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, safety, and cost.
- Champion all safety, health and environmental procedures and actively promote a safe work environment.
- Optimize efficiency, productivity, and equipment performance to meet objectives.
- Identify barriers to meeting production goals and help develop and implement improvement plans.
- Responsible for tracking data and meeting production metrics, as well as waste and efficiency percentages.
- Analyze data drawn from production reports to identify improvements, reduce losses and the number of breakdowns and improve efficiency.
- Communicate, implement, and apply company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by Management to support the business plan.
