Warehouse Supervisor
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Warehouse Supervisor located in Fontana, CA. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the inventory and receiving department while leading a team of employees in completing assigned tasks within the manufacturing plant.
What a typical day looks like :
- Leads and trains employees within the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the department; Assigns daily tasks to the warehouse team
- Participates in providing constructive and timely performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
- Assists Warehouse Manager with reviews and interviews
- Assists team members with technical issues or problems with given assignments; troubleshoots issues that arise.
- Coordinate resources as necessary to achieve safe and efficient results based on project workload.
- Partners with Warehouse Manager to track progress or changes to schedules and communicates information to team members as appropriate.
- Provide recommendations to increase productivity and efficiency of the department.
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment used according to company policies and procedures.
- Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Make suggestions for improvement to inventory and receiving processes; update work instructions as needed
- Monitor KPI`s for Inventory transactions including Picks, STO`s, Cycle Counts & Receiving Receipts along with Warehouse Manager.
- Conduct morning tailgate meetings including safety tips for the day.
- Panel Shipment preparation and coordination of the shipments
- Monitor back orders and address accordingly
- Ensure all transactions are done before the target date and address any open STO`s
- Will be responsible for reporting any incidents and documentation of the incident
- Review all SOP`s within scope of the warehouse and revise as necessary to reflect the actual process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
The experience we're looking to add to our team :
At least 4 years of experience in inventory, shipping and receiving, logistics, or related field.At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them.Strong understanding of inventory and warehouse management procedures.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented skills.Solid organizational and time management skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and / or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.Familiar with cycle counting, picking and posting, and working with an MRP / ERP system.Ability to operate powered equipment including forklifts and scissor lifts.What you'll receive for the great work you provide :
