The YMCA of the East Bay, one of the largest YMCA’s in the country, located in the San Francisco Bay Area and headquartered in Oakland, California is looking for lifeguards for the Berkeley YMCA in Berkeley, CA.
The Berkeley YMCA has 2 indoor pools, including a 7 lane lap pool which is open year round.
The mission of the YMCA of the East Bay is : To empower youth, advance health and strengthen communities.

Come be a lifeguard at the Downtown Berkeley YMCA!
NO EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED. We will train you.
We are currently hiring part-time lifeguards and / or swim instructors. You don’t need a certification - we can train you.
We are looking for adaptable, reliable, energetic individuals who can work 6-25 hours / week in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
Minimum Qualifications :
Must be at least 16 years of age
Demonstrate ability to swim in shallow & deep water as well as tread water
Excellent customer service skills
Patience and ability to communicate with members of all ages and backgrounds
Professional demeanor-punctual and consistent
Compensation :
$19.00-20.00 / hour DOE

Qualifications
Current American Red Cross or Y-Guard Lifeguarding Certification
Able to attend and successfully complete American Red Cross Lifeguard training course at the YMCA
