Our client is seeking an experienced AP Manager to lead their accounts payable function and oversee a growing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage daily AP operations, streamline processes, ensure compliance, and serve as a key liaison between finance, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of AP processes, and experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities of the AP Manager Role :

Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support.

The AP Manager will oversee the accurate processing of vendor invoices, credit memos, and payment runs.

Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Monitor AP aging, accruals, and month-end close tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Maintain organized documentation for audits, internal controls, and compliance.

The AP Manager will collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to improve AP processes and workflows.

Implement best practices for AP operations, including process improvements and automation initiatives.

Support year-end filings, including 1099 preparation, and provide information for audits.

Preferred Qualifications of the AP Manager Role :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of accounts payable experience, including supervisory or management experience.

Strong proficiency with SAP (or other ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement.
