Drivers are responsible for delivering and collecting a variety of products and supplies between a variety of locations in a safe, professional, efficient and timely manner.

Essential Functions

• Accurately pack and drive personal automobile to load, unload, deliver and collect a variety of products and supplies between a variety of locations in a safe, professional, efficient and timely manner
• Provide and safely maintain personal automobile (including performing a vehicle inspection before and after each trip) and proof of insurance coverage indicating no less than state-mandated limits and in employee’s name;

insurance coverage must not exclude business purposes

• Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations and best practices for safety, both on and off the road
• Immediately report any personal or motor vehicle accidents, injuries or parking / moving violations to supervisors
• Professionally and courteously interact with customers to confirm delivery details, address complaints and resolve disputes, including obtaining customer signatures as instructed
• Analyze delivery address, determine appropriate routes, follow assigned routes and maintain schedule
• Maintain accurate mileage and other delivery logs and records
• Review and verify invoices, purchase requests and other instructions before and after delivery to ensure accurate deliveries and collections
• Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
• Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
• Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
• Multi-task calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
• Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
• Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and / or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and / or lift up to 50 pounds
• Sit, stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of company and delivery / collection locations, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests’ needs
• Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy
• Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders / restrictions
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Get along well with others and be a team player
• Other duties will be assigned as needed
