Adjunct Instructor - Massage Therapy

Responsibilities

Harper College invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach a hands-on massage therapy course during the Spring 2026 semester.

Course : MTP 125 - Foundations of Massage Therapy II

Schedule : Wednesdays, 8 : 30 a.m.-12 : 30 p.m. | January 14-May 13, 2026

Location : Palatine Campus | In-person instruction

Course Overview :

M TP 125 - Foundations of Massage Therapy II builds on foundational massage therapy skills and introduces approaches including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cross-fiber friction, and specific-tissue massage. The course includes both lecture and lab components.

Position Responsibilities :

• Deliver engaging, effective instruction in both lecture and lab settings.
• Provide students with timely feedback based on assessments and evaluations of their work.
• Prepare and facilitate lab activities while ensuring adherence to lab safety standards.
• Provide the department with a course syllabus, instructional materials, attendance records, and gradebook.
• Maintain current Illinois Massage Therapist licensure.
• Utilize previously developed course materials, if desired, or incorporate your own in consultation with the program coordinator.
• Support and accommodate students with special needs in accordance with College policies.

Additional Information :

Courses are offered in-person on the Palatine campus. Massage Therapy Program courses may be scheduled during the day, evening, or on Saturdays.
